               英文課文 Text in English

If you want to fully appreciate the beauty of Taiwan but don’t want your plans to be
affected by traffic and weather, take a train for a relaxing and carefree railway adventure.
The major railway routes throughout the east, west, south, and north parts of the

main island of Taiwan are linked together to form an integral railroad network that spans the
island. Travelers can arrange travel plans that suit themselves according to their own time

and interests, which is quite convenient. In addition, Taiwan Railway has a history of more
than one hundred years. Some of its branch line stations are full of old-time charm, each
with its own character. For first-time travelers to Taiwan, taking a branch-line sightseeing

train is a very novel and interesting experience.
