Introduction 簡介
Jade Mountain Mandarin School was established in 2019 and is located in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. It is the only Taiwanese overseas school in Hungary that provides Mandarin learning with traditional characters. Many students can understand the beauty of characters better after learning traditional characters, and they also want to study Taiwan’s phonetic symbol system, “Bopomo”. JMMS not only provides Taiwanese children and language lovers with another Mandarin learning option but also offers a place to introduce Taiwanese culture to more foreign friends.
This year, JMMS joined the OCAC “Implementing Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning Establishment Program.” and became one of the 43 “Taiwan Centers for Mandarin Learning”. TCML HU provides Mandarin knowledge and integrates language learning into culture and life. “Many a little makes a mickle” is the school's teaching philosophy.
At the same time, JMMS also cooperates with the local Hungarian-Taiwanese Cultural Association (Magyar-Tajvani Egyeület, MTE) and the Taiwan Representative Office in Hungary to deepen the understanding of Taiwanese culture and Mandarin in Hungary. The trilateral cooperation between JMMS, MTE, and Taipei Office in Hungary improves Taiwan's visibility in Hungary and helps promote the development of bilateral relations between Taiwan and Hungary.
匈牙利玉山中文學校（Jade Mountain Mandarin School）成立於2019年，位於首都布達佩斯，是匈牙利唯一提供正體字中文學習的臺灣僑校，許多學生學習了正體字後更能理解漢字之美，進而也想學習臺灣的注音符號。JMMS不僅提供臺灣子弟及中文愛好者正體中文的學習，更是一個向更多外籍友人介紹臺灣文化的地方。
今年度開始匈牙利玉山中文學校加入「海外華語文學習深耕計畫」，成為43所「臺灣華語文學習中心」中的一員，旨在為華語文初學者介紹臺灣正體中文，提供涵蓋日常會話及基礎華語文知識的學習，並將語言學習融入於文化與生活中。「積沙成塔」一點一滴學中文是學校的教學理念。
同時玉山中文學校也與當地註冊成立的匈臺文化協會（MTE）僑團共同合作，配合臺灣駐匈牙利代表處一起在匈牙利地區深耕臺灣語言與文化內涵，透過僑校、僑團組織與臺灣代表處的三邊合作，提高臺灣在匈牙利的能見度，促進臺匈雙邊關係的發展。
Courses 課程特色
The curriculum of the “Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning - Jade Mountain Mandarin School in Hungary” is mainly aimed at non-native Mandarin speakers over the age of 18. Teaching is based on “Let’s Learn Mandarin” as the main teaching material supported by the Overseas Community Affairs Council. We integrate media tools to provide students with extra assistance, including Google Classroom learning resources integration, MyCT to enhance pronunciation, and video supplementary lessons. At the classroom tea break, students can exchange cultural conversations and fun topics. Our senior and junior teachers stimulate each other's teaching ideas, making the whole course livelier and more diversified.
「臺灣華語文學習中心-匈牙利玉山中文學校」課程主要以18歲以上非母語者為教學對象，以僑委會的《來！學華語》為主要教材，但是老師們善用電子資源及各種網路媒體工具，隨時提供學生協助，包含規劃線上群組討論、Google Classroom學習資源整合、MyCT加強發音、錄影補課、課間茶聚文化對談、趣味主題。資深及年輕老師互相激盪教學理念，讓整個課程更活潑也更多元。
