Introduction 簡介
It has been 34 years since Torrance Chinese School was established in 1988. At its peak, student count was as high as 600. Currently, there are 18 Mandarin classes with a total of 220 students attending our school. Ever since our school launched adult Mandarin language class in 2003, it has recruited an average of 13 non-Chinese students per year.
Our school has first-rate teachers and highly efficient staff members, rivaling that of mainstream schools. In 2022, Torrance Chinese School was selected by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) from thousands of other competitors to be the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning.
With over a decade of adult Mandarin language education under our belt, we have designed our classes with a focus on Mandarin conversation, through topics such as the land and the people, customs and culture, song and theater, and foods and beverages.
Torrance Chinese school coordinates with mainstream elementary and middle schools, local communities, and compatriot groups, to plan special events. It also participates in the annual Multi-Cultural Festival hosted by the City of Torrance to introduce Taiwan’s wonderful language programs and culture to the mainstream community.
托倫斯中文學校於1988年籌辦成立至今已有三十四年，全校人數最多600人，目前有220位學生，共開設18班。
本校自2003年起開設成人班，該成人班多年來平均招收13位非華裔人士。本校擁有優異的師資陣容，高效率的行政團隊，堪比正規學校。2022年榮獲中華民國僑務委員會在全球逾千所中文學校中，遴選為臺灣華語文學習中心。
在十多年經營成人班的經驗和基礎下，繼續深耕臺灣教育的特質，教授正體字華語，加強會話練習，融入臺灣特有的風土、民情、戲曲、體驗飲食文化課程等內容。
本校進一步與主流中小學、社區、僑界等團體合作，共同規劃活動，並持續參加一年一度由托倫斯市政府和各界菁英社團所主辦的多族裔文化節活動，向各界主流人士介紹臺灣的優質文化與華語文教育。

For 34 years since its establishment, Torrance Chinese School has worked with the Torrance Unified School District (TUSD) to rent classrooms at Torrance West High School to serve as its campus.
West High School address: 20401 Victor Street, Torrance, CA 90503.
West High School is located in the residential area on the west side of the coastal city of Torrance. To arrive at the campus, drive west from the LAX airport along Pacific Coast Highway Number 1, head east on Diamond St., and east on Del Amo Blvd. Transportation is very convenient. It is also a five-minute drive from the bustling Del Amo Mall.
托倫斯中文學校從開辦至今三十四年，與TUSD (Torrance Unified School District)合作，租借托倫斯西高中教室為校區。

西高中位於托倫斯臨海城市西區的住宅區，從LA機場沿1號太平洋公路Pacific High Way向西，Diamond St 向東，Del Amo Blvd 向東20分鐘即可進入校區，交通便利。距離Del Amo Mall五分鐘車程，商業鼎盛。
