Introduction 簡介
Taiwanese American Center of Northern California (TACNC) was established in 2003 and incorporated as a non-profit community center to help facilitate adaptation into American culture by the Taiwanese diaspora. To support the "Taiwan-US Education Initiative'' signed in December 2020, Overseas Community Affairs Council assisted TACNC to form a Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML). TCML will provide high quality Mandarin classes for any adults who are interested in learning Mandarin as well as Taiwanese culture.
北加州臺灣會館成立於2003年，以推廣華文教育、保存母語與薪傳臺灣文化、臺灣精神為宗旨。為推廣正體華語到美國主流社區，會館於2022年成立附設「臺灣華語文學習中心」，讓社區中非以華語為母語之成年人，不分國籍、種族宗教或性別，皆能在一個輕鬆、愉悅的環境中學習華語。透過多元的教學方式導入我國優質華語教學資源，以兼具教學品質及學員需求。期許每位學員皆能透過學習華語瞭解中華文化與臺灣特色，並能實際運用至生活中。
Courses 課程特色
1. This is an introductory course to Mandarin. It will introduce students to Mandarin pronunciation, tone, grammar, conversation, reading, and writing, with an emphasis on basic oral proficiency.
2. There are IN-PERSON and ONLINE classes. The IN-PERSON course will meet on Sundays starting from 2/6. The ONLINE course will meet on Tues/Thurs starting from 2/8.
一、教學模式：兼採實體授課及線上授課兩種方式。實體授課能增進師生互動，有效提升學生學習效果；然因應疫情關係，本課程亦開設線上課程，以突破時空的限制，同時又不減傳統教學模式的即時互動性。
二、小班制：每班學員人數為10人，小班制之教學品質較有保障，並能增加學生課堂參與機會。
三、上課時間彈性：可自由選擇平日班或假日班。實體授課為假日班；線上授課為平日班。
四、期末成果發表：期末將舉辦學員之成果發表，讓華語課程更活潑生動。
