Introduction 簡介
Irvine Chinese School was established in 1976. In 2005 the school moved into a permanent campus, funded and built by Chinese Americans, at 9 Truman, Irvine CA.
The Taiwan Center For Mandarin Learning at Irvine Chinese School is one of the first of these centers opened by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) of Taiwan to promote Mandarin teaching and learning in the US.
The center was established on September 2, 2021 in Irvine. The first two Beginner Mandarin classes started on September 25, 2021. Advanced Mandarin and Business Mandarin classes are also being planned.
成立於1976年的爾灣中文學校，於2005年遷入由僑民募款興建的教學大樓，是美國規模最大的中文學校之一。爾灣中文學校的臺灣華語文學習中心，於2021年9月2日正式揭牌成立，是美國第一批成立的臺灣華語文學習中心，首期基礎中文班於9月25日開始上課，計畫將來依需要再加開中級班及商業中文班。臺灣華語文學習中心提供沒有學過華語的外籍人士，從聽說華語入門，進一步認識傳統文化與民俗風情，鼓勵成人學生結合華語與生活學習華語。
Courses 課程特色
The Beginning Mandarin classes will provide students with “Let’s Learn Mandarin” and “Easy to Learn Chinese” as textbooks. The classes will also utilize Mandarin songs, Chinese food and cultural festivals to enrich the learning experience.
課程採用「來！學華語」第一冊及「300句說華語」作為教材，結合實用華語與文化內容，讓成人學生能聽講華語，並加入練唱華語歌曲，品嚐美食及參與文化節慶活動，以強化學習效果。
