Introduction 簡介
Wei Hwa Chinese school, established in 1974, is a professional nonprofit Mandarin educational institution with nearly 50 years of experience. Our curriculum design not only emphasizes fun learning, but also encourages student participation with their imagination and creativity. To further serve the community, the school set up the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning in September 2021. The curriculum design is based on the idea of teaching Mandarin as a second language. To promote learning motivation, in addition to the daily life theme-based curriculum, students apply what they have learned through school traditional cultural activities.
維華中文學校成立於1974年，歷經近50年的經驗積累，已經發展成一所專業的華語教育機構。不論是教學活動或作業的設計，除講究趣味性外，同時重視預留給學生發揮想像力與創造力的空間，以期逹到寓教於樂的效果。為進一步服務社區，該校於2021年9月設置成立臺灣華語文學習中心，課程規劃以第二外語教學理念為主導，循序漸進地以日常生活題材，結合學校傳統文化活動，平衡動、靜態學習，達到學以致用的目標，並提高學習興趣。
Courses 課程特色
Their Chinese Practical Development Program is a series courses from Introductory to Advance designed for adults. There are four levels of courses. Each level includes thirty-six-week courses which are divided into A Section, B Section and C Section. The classes are scheduled three hours per week, included in-person classes on Sundays from 2-4 pm; two 30-minute online classes are also scheduled some time between Monday through Friday, depending on teachers’ and students’ schedules.
The starting date of classes for the three sections are the first week of the months of September, December, and March. There is no requirement to complete A Section, B Section and C Section in order because there are independent units for each section. Students can join the program depending on their schedule.
中文實用發展課程是該校為成人所設計的全套華語文課程，從入門等級到高級班別課程，共分成四種等級華語課程，每一等級規劃有36週對應的華語課程，並分成A、B與C期等三期授課。每週有三小時課程，包括週日的二小時實體課程及二節半小時的非週末線上課程。
A、B與C期課程分別於九月、十二月和三月開課，三期並無先後修課順序要求，其課程設計均為獨立單元，學生可以根據自己的日程來選擇開始修習課程的時間。
