Introduction 簡介

The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning in Atlanta (TCML-ATL) was established in 2021 as a non-profit organization to provide an authentic and systematic Mandarin learning experience to adults who want to learn Mandarin for social reasons or career advancement. The teaching materials are designed by Mandarin language experts in Taiwan and enriched with supplementary content in line with the needs of local students. Learning has a practical orientation, and students have frequent opportunity to speak in Mandarin; they learn how to use Mandarin and about Taiwanese customs and culture.

亞特蘭大華語文學習中心於2021年成立。成立的目的是提供一處學習據點給想學中文的外籍人士一個學習傳統中文的管道。藉由臺灣所提供的教材以及依據當地學生需求而制定的補充內容進行實用性的語言學習和口語實踐運用，讓學生了解華語文運用、臺灣的文化習俗及人文背景。

Courses 課程特色

Foundation Course (101 & 102)
Learners graduated from the Foundation course can introduce themselves, talk about their likes/dislikes, give simple directions, describe interior spaces, and engage in real-life situations, such as dining in at a restaurant, ordering dishes/drinks to go, buying grocery, gifts, etc.

Basic Course (201 & 202)
Learners graduated from the Basic course  can comprehend, ask, answer various questions related to their personal and family situation, and engage in scenarios commonly encountered while traveling abroad, such as booking hotel rooms, buying souvenirs, purchasing tickets, renting an apartment, finding a roommate, renting a car, registering for courses, etc.

Intermediate Course (301 & 302)
Learners graduated from the Intermediate course can accurately and sufficiently  describe their past experiences and future plans; they can talk about and give instructions about their hobbies extensively and conduct and receive formal job interviews comfortably.

Advanced course (401 & Chinese 402)
Learners graduated from the Advanced course can proficiently and sufficiently engage in discussion on news topics and various social issues as well as express their thoughts and opinions in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner.

語言課程目前分為四階，以後視需求可逐步再增加。

基礎班 (101, 102) - 結業目標
能夠自我介紹，簡單表達自己的喜好和對周遭事物的描述，到餐廳可以點菜、點外賣，到市場買東西。

初級班 (201, 202) - 結業目標
能夠理解，詢問和回答個人和家庭相關議題。能夠處理出國旅遊時常會碰到的問題如: 買票，訂旅館，買禮物，找室友，註冊課程。

進階班 (301, 302) - 結業目標
能夠正確完整的表達自己過去的經驗和對未來的規劃。能夠詳盡的描述個人興趣愛好，能夠接受或提供面試。

高級班 (401, 402) - 結業目標
能夠很流利的參與時事討論。不僅是語言的表達，個人對社會人文背景的了解還要有一定程度的涉獵才能適當的表達自己的想法。
