Introduction 簡介
The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning at Princeton Chinese Language School is established under the Princeton Chinese Language School (PCLS) organization. PCLS is a nonprofit organization founded in 1970. Since then, our students and parents have been active participants in various local community events. In recent years, PCLS has raised awareness of Taiwanese culture and community volunteer services by sponsoring local events such as Taiwan Expo, the Association for New Jersey Chinese School Annual Events, the Princeton University International Festival, and Lunar New Year Celebrations. By establishing the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning, we want to break stereotypes and expand our student population. We welcome families with diverse backgrounds to learn Mandarin, and we truly believe that “language learning is never just about learning language itself”. To ensure fulfilling and ongoing Mandarin learning in our community, our mission is to provide excellent materials, diversified cultural activities, and first-rate teachers. Our goal is to cultivate an interest in and awareness of the culture of Taiwan through language learning and cultural activities.
普林斯頓中文學校臺灣華語文學習中心設在現有的普林斯頓中文學校組織體制下。普林斯頓中文學校為一所非營利的教育機構，創立於1970年。本校自創校以來，學生及家長積極參與各式各樣的社區服務。近幾年來，更透過各種社區活動推展中華文化。例如：臺灣文化展、新澤西中文學校協會活動、普林斯頓大學國際日，以及農曆新年慶祝活動等等。我們希望藉由普林斯頓中文學校臺灣華語文學習中心的成立，能夠打破框架並擴大服務對象。我們歡迎非華裔的多元背景家庭來學習正體華語文、參與文化交流活動、認識臺灣之美，進而創造更多機會，讓臺灣在新澤西州的多元文化社區中，以不同風貎展現於各種文化背景的家庭眼前。
Courses 課程特色
(1) Introduction to traditional character strokes and the Pinyin phonetics system.
(2) Practice common sentence patterns and use them in daily conversation.
(3) Learn to type via Hanyu Pinyin.
(4) Develop basic proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and typing.
(5) Become acquainted with Taiwan through the learning of Mandarin.
(1) 學習漢字的字源、筆順及部件結構，感受正體字之美。
(2) 學習基本語法、常用句型及主題式詞彙，並應用於日常生活會話。
(3) 利用漢語拼音學習中文打字。
(4) 培養聽、說、讀、寫、打字的基本能力 - 五力並進。
(5) 透過學習華語來進一步認識臺灣這塊美麗的寶島。

Our classes are held at the Princeton Day School(PDS) in Princeton, New Jersey. PDS is located at Princeton in central New Jersey. It is close to Princeton University, the most elite and prestigious Ivy League school. PDS is a well-known private school with a beautiful campus and novel facilities.
上課地點為 Princeton Day School (PDS). PDS位於紐澤西中部的普林斯頓，在常春藤名校普林斯頓大學附近，距離美國東北部兩大城紐約與費城均在一小時車程之內，靠近紐澤西中部交通樞紐一號公路。PDS是紐澤西著名之私立學校，校區廣闊優美，校內設備新穎。
