Introduction 簡介
The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) at Ming Hui Academy Boston, a nonprofit organization, was established in 2023. The purpose of the establishment is to provide a channel for an authentic and systematic Mandarin learning experience to adults who want to learn Mandarin for social reasons or career advancement. The teaching materials are designed by Mandarin language experts in Taiwan and enriched with supplementary content in line with the needs of local students. Students master basic Mandarin conversation and reading skills, have opportunities to travel overseas to study, travel or work in Taiwan and become better acquainted to Taiwanese culture.
波士頓明慧學校的臺灣華語文學習中心成立於2023年。成立的目的是給大波士頓區主流社會人士提供一個學習傳統華語文的渠道。藉由臺灣所提供的教材以及依據當地學生需求而制定的補充內容進行實用性的語言學習，讓學生掌握基本華語會話及閲讀能力，促進主流社會人士有更多的機會接觸到臺灣鄉土文化, 增强學生的意願到臺灣求學、旅遊或工作。
Courses 課程特色
TCML Mandarin learning at Ming Hui Academy Boston is very unique. With the sponsorship from the Oversea Community Affair Council (OCAC) from Taiwan, we are able to offer a variety of Taiwanese cultural experiences. The students receive free textbooks, workbooks and audios from the generous offer of OCAC. The three hour class session per week includes 2 hrs of language class and 1 hr of culture class. Students may choose to attend the culture classes offered below with no extra cost:
